Sustainable Fiber Production through
Outstanding Breedstock......We believe that sustainability comes through diversity. Our three fold mission is to create an alpaca herd that sustains itself on the sale and use of its fiber; produce outstanding breedstock with the emphasis on valuable fiber production and confirmation; and to share this knowledge and assist others in achieving the same.
Besides alpacas, we also raise Saanen Milk Goats, Market Hogs, Laying Hens, Broilers, Turkeys, and a large garden.
We apply principles of sustainable agriculture, emphasising the importance of a symbiotic relationship between all the members on the ranch.
Over the last 4 years, Carrie has work together with Robyn Kuhl to develope the "Certified Sorted" Method of fiber grading and sorting. Besides offering Sorting Services, Carrie and Robyn teach several classes each year all over the country, training people to become "Certified Sorters".
